Dr. Ivonne Sahagun-Carreon—known to most simply as “Dr. C”—is the heartbeat and backbone of River Valley Pediatrics. With nearly three decades of experience in pediatric medicine, she brings unmatched clinical expertise, deep compassion, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from truly being in the trenches. A graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. C trained at Texas Children’s Hospital under the mentorship of the legendary Dr. Ralph Feigin, one of the most respected names in pediatrics. That world-class foundation continues to fuel the exceptional care she provides every day. For more than 20 years, she has served New Braunfels and the surrounding areas—earning the trust of generations of families. Whether she’s treating a newborn, managing complex chronic conditions, guiding a teen through mental health struggles, or mentoring the next generation of providers, Dr. C shows up with one mission: to serve with excellence and heart.
